Lori Lelonde, Certified Herbalist and Director
After six years working in the store, Lori became the owner December 2008. She loves what store was built on and the integrity behind it and wanted to make sure that wasn’t lost. Lori loves working with the animals, nutrition, the healing that goes on and how it’s all tied to keeping animals healthy. As an herbalist using all natural remedies, she’s seen first hand how she can help animals heal themselves through good nutrition.
Her favorite customers are the people that love their animals enough to come and ask the questions and who believe healing can take place with good food and nutritional supplements, homeopathy and herbs. Those are the people that care enough.
If you were to ask Lori how her experience working in the store is different from other types of work she’s done, she would laugh and say
“This isn’t work to me. When I’m here, I’m happy and I’m doing what I love because I love the animals.”

Lori has five beloved dogs with fascinating histories – be sure to read about them on the blog.

Dale Lelonde, Manager
When Lori took over in December 2008, her brother Dale moved out from Ontario to help out with everything. For one, he’s always believed supplements are a great help to people and enjoys seeing the cross application that benefits animals. He finds it really rewarding to see people who are desperate when come in, go out with the ability to heal their pet. Especially since you can see how much they’re suffering because their pet is in pain and Your Pet Pals can do things they didn’t even know were possible that can help them. Dale appreciates his customers, especially the ones who really believe that by keeping their pet healthy, they are also keeping themselves healthy. The pet owner who is really ‘there’ for their pet.
According to Dale his 10-year-old dog Moxy, a ridgeback lab cross, runs his life. When Dale found him in a dumpster with three siblings, Moxy went right to him and has been a fixture beside him pretty much 24/7 ever since.

Jen Hryskiw, Wellness Consultant
Jen started in May 2005 and loves seeing the positive changes that enhance the quality of life for animals and the happiness that brings to them and their people. Her favorite customers are the ones with a deep abiding love, devotion and commitment to their animals because there are so many animals that don’t have those people or that love in their lives. Before Your Pet Pals, Jen worked in non-profit social services and education. She finds it somewhat similar – she’s still helping people strategize and work through challenges – only now it’s more animal focused.
Jen’s menagerie includes: Little dog Georgie, little dog Cozzie, 21 chickens, 5 ducks, 2 goats and an undisclosed number of cats.
